About Mitchell

Mitchell James Colucci was born on January 30, 1982 in Miami, Florida.  From an early age, Mitchell found it easy to captivate family and friends with his humor and singing.

Mitchell's parents enrolled him in dance, singing and theatre classes to help him focus his talents.  Mitchell found his place performing with the Sharon Play House in Sharon, CT, Dover High School Drama, and TriArts Regional Theatre in Pine Plains, NY.  Mitchell's performance credits included:
On the Town, The King and I, Pippin, Little Shop of Horrors, Our Town, You Can't Take It With You, and Guys and Dolls, just to name a few.

It was during his senior year of high school that Mitchell proved to himself and others that the performing arts were ABSOLUTELY where he wanted to spend his life.  After a few unfortunate happenstances, Mitchell took over as musical and technical director for the spring musical.  His directing cues were key to the overall success of the show that year.

Mitchell attended the American Music and Dramatics Academy in New York City where he studied acting and musical theatre.  Mitchell continued pursing the performing arts over the next 14 years, training in stan-up comedy, auditioning at The Metropolitan Opera, and the Juilliard School of Music, and performing with Shakespeare in the Park.  Mitchell found success as a voice over actor lending his voice often for Comcast Communications and A & W Restaurants.

Mitchell believed in working hard to achieve his dreams and taking on any and all opportunities that presented themselves.  He followed the route of so many great actors and actresses who didn't believe that their small town roots determined their place in life.  Mitchell was determined to not only make his dreams come true, but also to give back to the community that supported him and his acting dreams.  That is why we, the Mitchell J. Colucci Memorial Fund, continue his ideas today - helping give back to the community that supported him and his dreams.
